Where Wall WRB and Housewrap Fit
- Designed for exterior walls where the system needs a continuous water-resistive layer behind cladding or siding.
- Helps manage exterior liquid water while supporting outward drying when the wall assembly uses a vapour-permeable design.
- Roll weight, width, color, printing and export packing can be matched to a distributor or private-label program.
How to Select a Vapour-Permeable Wall Membrane
- Start with the wall build-up: cladding type, sheathing, drainage cavity, insulation position and expected construction exposure determine the suitable membrane construction.
- Compare water resistance, vapor permeance, tensile and tear performance together. GSM alone does not define installed wall performance.
- A reflective foil layer and a vapour-permeable WRB are different constructions. Confirm whether the project needs outward drying or vapor control before comparing foil products.
- The membrane must stay continuous at laps, corners, windows, penetrations and base details with compatible tape and flashing.
Wall WRB Specification Checklist
- Confirm the wall build-up, cladding type, drainage cavity and the expected construction-exposure period.
- Define the water-resistance, vapor-permeance, tensile, tear and exposure data required by the project specification.
- Confirm whether the selected membrane is only a WRB or is also part of a tested air-control detail.
- Set GSM, roll width, roll length, color, printing, labels and export packing before quotation.
- Review the applicable data sheet, test references and destination-market requirements for the selected construction.
- Approve a sample and verify tape, flashing, sealant and substrate compatibility before bulk production or installation.
