Breather Membrane Tape and Housewrap Seam Tape
KOSITE supplies sealing accessories for waterproof breathable membranes, including breather membrane joint tape for roof and wall laps and housewrap seam tape for water-resistive barrier (WRB) joints. Window and door flashing tape must be selected separately for the opening, substrate and drainage detail.
Compatible Membrane Tapes and OEM Supply
Choose accessories for the actual membrane, substrate and joint. A seam tape, concealed-lap butyl tape and window flashing tape serve different details; none replaces the approved drainage and flashing design.
- Breather membrane joint tape and housewrap / WRB seam tape: for compatible membrane overlaps; select a separate approved flashing construction for window and door openings.
- Butyl membrane sealing tape: discuss double-sided concealed-lap tape or backed flashing construction for the intended interface.
- Vapor-permeable housewrap and wall WRB and roofing underlayment: confirm the selected grade and compatible accessory together.
For European and US private-label tape supply, send the destination market, application, membrane sample, tape width and length, quantity, label artwork and packaging requirements. Confirm available constructions, MOQ, lead time and applicable technical documents with the quotation.

Breather Membrane and WRB Seam Tape Applications
- Designed for sealing membrane overlaps and transitions around windows, doors and penetrations.
- Flexible tape constructions can be selected for straight laps, corners and irregular detail geometry.
- Where vapor-open tape is required, request measured vapor-permeance data for the exact construction before approval.
Seam Tape, Airtight Sealing Tape and Window Flashing
- Breather membrane joint tape seals membrane overlaps; US housewrap seam tape and WRB seam tape describe the corresponding wall-joint application. Confirm the intended use instead of selecting by product name alone.
- Seam tape is not automatically suitable as window and door flashing tape. Opening details may require different backing, width, conformability and water-management provisions.
- Airtight sealing tape supports an air-control joint only when adhesion, substrate and continuity are verified. A tape label alone does not establish whole-assembly airtightness.
- Window flashing tape should direct incidental water back to the drainage plane rather than trap it behind the cladding.
- Vapor permeability and air-control performance are different properties; the selected tape should match the complete wall or roof system.
Membrane Tape Selection for European and US Buyers
- Confirm the membrane surface, cladding system, window or penetration detail and expected construction exposure.
- Specify tape width, roll length, adhesive, backing, release liner and the exact membrane or substrate. Supply the applicable European or US project specification and required test reports; no blanket EN or ASTM compliance is implied.
- Keep the membrane surface dry and clean, then apply firm pressure to ensure full contact and remove trapped air.
- Follow the membrane and project instructions for lap direction, overlap dimension, window flashing sequence and termination details.
